I was boy playing in my parents 75 acre forest. There was always a new place to explore and build a new fort. At the age of 13, I joined Army Cadets. 4 years later, I joined Army Reserves and served in an artillery regiment. From there I went to live in the big city for school and work. My love for the backcountry never faded and I would always spend as much time as possible there. After 10 years in Toronto, I made the decision to move to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
I decided to start this blog and document my adventures on this flying rock.
Main hobbies are backpacking, canoeing, chess and MMA.
